I would say with the auto and 14b, prob closer to 10 psi to get 200 to the wheels. Also depends what else you will be running, fmic, smic? 2 inch downpipe, 2.5-3 inch, exhaust, engine health, but Either way it will be fun. Good luck, and let me know how that turbo works for you.
Ohh and nice looking ride, but drop that baby
IMHO, its better to build off a solid foundation...it'd be like saying, lets make a foundation for a house out of wood and then 6 months when it falls apart later, will make a new one, if your gonna do major changes, might as well do it right the first time, plus he could make some money on selling a good tranny rather than a busted one.RKSskier said:In the long run I think you would be more happy with a manual swap. Although building the auto may be a little cheaper 9( I have no idea) I dont think it would be as strong still, as well as not as rewarding) Personally thats the reason I love my civic, I enjoy driving, even when it is just regular pace, I find a stick much more enjoyable, and on a windy backroad, it is much better. I think that you will enjoy the manual swap. Although for the price it may just be easier to sell yours and buy a stick, and like most of us, you prob like your car, so that may not be an option. If it cost the same to go turbo or manual, I couldnt blame you for spending the money to boost instead of swap the tranny. But if you do boost at 7 or 8 and get 170-190 whp, maybe the tranny could handle it for a while, and 6 months later, or a year later you do the manual swap. Plus if the tranny starts to go, you will feel it, then just take it easy on the boost untill you swap.
I would say boost low, then swap the tranny when you can.
