RHD is not illegal - if a cop tried to give you a ticket it wouldnt pass in court. Engine swaps are not illegal - as long as the engine is out of the same year car or newer and in some states you cant raise the size of the engine from the oem size.
now as far as cutting through the firewall - i think i remeber some oddball law about work done to the firewall can not change the safty use of the firewall.
What would it take to swap over from jhd to rhd - more than cutting - if you have a front clip, wouldnt be to hard. Youd have the parts just change them over.
And to help kill rumors about the rhd cars - they are only a pain in the ass to get to the states not own in the states.
