part of the low numbers was the intercooler part of it, no intercooler + turbo size and boost = almost always detonation and bad hp readings, but who knows what elsewas wrong with it.

Thats what you get with no intercooled cars. Did you know that with the intercooler spray kits you can gain up to 50 more hp? THe intercooler is used for keeping the air cold of course, and if there it no intercooler, that crazy hot exhaust is being dumped back into the TB at sweltering tempertures.

How does an NA car act on a slow day? It lags, so expect the same with a non intercooled car. Now in the winter, he may have 300 hp, lol.

I've seen supra' get 30 hp from them. Its up to 50 hp, so you can get like 15 with your application.

i went to a car show saturday the 29th and a 92 hatch back civic with full body kit, spoon graphics, cabon hood, nice wheels and a bunch of other s**t he thought would make his car faster including some kind of turbo kit non intercooled, anyways they had a dyno contest and he pulled up and talked all kind of s**t about 300 + hp and got on the dyno and made 136 hp at the wheels the first run and the other two runs made 122 hp, well i just thought that was funny and wanted to know how that was possible with a turbo.

your story is almsot as funny as when this ex in my area got a b16 swap... i guess he didnt understand that a couple thousand later and now hes only as slow as a stock SI.... he was sad...

no motor is a joke.. only the a*****e behind it.. your story could be said about any setup by anyone with a more serious setup.. people who drive domestic drag cars for example may say.. honda motors what a joke.. 300hp.. ha.. my motor came with that.. granted the person you described sounds like he ranks pretty high on the stupid a*****e scale.. but it has NOTHING to do with the motor... i can show you single cam powered cars that would stand up against swapped cars.. single cams that ARE actually in the 3/400 hp range.. and as pointed out its not always about power.. 200whp with the best tire/suspension combo possible is probably alot more effective than 300whp on some shitting suspension 17's and low profile tires.. point is there is a lot more to a car than simply the hp number.. you also have to take into account drive train variables such as clutch, lsd, etc...
