Thats what you get with no intercooled cars. Did you know that with the intercooler spray kits you can gain up to 50 more hp? THe intercooler is used for keeping the air cold of course, and if there it no intercooler, that crazy hot exhaust is being dumped back into the TB at sweltering tempertures.

How does an NA car act on a slow day? It lags, so expect the same with a non intercooled car. Now in the winter, he may have 300 hp, lol.

Some of the fastest turbo drag civics out there don't even use intercoolers and they hit 7's and 8's in the 1/4 :shock:

They use Air to Water intercoolers. Usually Dry Ice gets dumped in em at every run.

I've seen supra' get 30 hp from them. Its up to 50 hp, so you can get like 15 with your application.

Not all, I have a friend that's almost done building his full drag civic. Non-intercooled expected to hit 7's or even faster :shock:

i didnt know that exhaust gas came out the compressor side of a turbo :2confused

your story is almsot as funny as when this ex in my area got a b16 swap... i guess he didnt understand that a couple thousand later and now hes only as slow as a stock SI.... he was sad...

no motor is a joke.. only the a*****e behind it.. your story could be said about any setup by anyone with a more serious setup.. people who drive domestic drag cars for example may say.. honda motors what a joke.. 300hp.. ha.. my motor came with that.. granted the person you described sounds like he ranks pretty high on the stupid a*****e scale.. but it has NOTHING to do with the motor... i can show you single cam powered cars that would stand up against swapped cars.. single cams that ARE actually in the 3/400 hp range.. and as pointed out its not always about power.. 200whp with the best tire/suspension combo possible is probably alot more effective than 300whp on some shitting suspension 17's and low profile tires.. point is there is a lot more to a car than simply the hp number.. you also have to take into account drive train variables such as clutch, lsd, etc...

i know all that but the funny thing was he was bragging he had over 300 anyway i cant believe people are still replying to this.

He would've pulled better numbers by sticking a leaf blower into his TB. Been done. +60hp w/ nos sprayed.
