dont move anything when taking off or putting it back on, other then that its simple. The crank bolt is kinda hard but I did it with hand tools and the crank bolt tool from honda. Real men just use their hands, smart men use power tools lol

ok called the honda dealer to get an estimate on all the parts:

Driving belt (2) = $24.95 each
Timing belt (1) = $54.95
Tensioner (1) = $121.82
Water Pump (1) = $89.95

I asked for the labor with all of that. he said it would cost $649.00

I asked a local mechanic he said $500-$600 but i'm not sure if they'd be using OEM honda parts or whatever parts they have on hand.

My best bet was my friend who can do it for $200.

Is all of the parts listed absolutely necessary? is there anything else I should definitely replace as well?

thanks

you will need a valve cover gasket and rings for the spark plug holes its best not to reuse the old one when taking the cover off

still better to spend the extra cash and get OEM, there is nothing "race" about that kit

Agreed about the race part. I just support Gates other than OEM.

Definetly do the timing belt like everyone else said . Also when you have the cover and belt off if the cam seal or crank seal are leaking it would be the best time to replace them.
