It's a chassis code. Look at your VIN on your dash and read the fourth, fifth, and sixth digits. that's your VIN. Yours should be EJ7. EJ7 = 6G HX coupe. EJ8 means 6G US EX coupe or sedan and 6G Canadian Si.

not all 99-00 Civic's are EM1's , only the Si's...
