With how many parts you want to be converted to an RSX, just buy an RSX.
If I remember right, his dad or grandpa or someone supposedly had a blue '02-'04 Type-S w/ K20A swap

Unless he's stripping these parts from that car... I don't see how that's relevant.

And still, for the average person at least, it's going to be cheaper to buy an RSX. And it will still look a lot better than a 5th gen hatch with an RSX front end and it won't have the problems that this 5th gen will have.

I was just stating he should already "have" an rsx...considering one thread states the rsx-s/r was his and he's 64yrs old, then another of a different age/vehicle, etc etc :what:

hmm.. I dont like any front end conversions.. only one that looks good is a jdm integra front end on a usdm integra.. because it was ment to be there.. sorry.. to much garbage/hacking involved, never look right, and give the car really odd shapes. the designers at honda design then with certain proportions for reasons. doing ANY front end conversion destroys the flow of the car. Just my opinion. but its your car, do what you like, and i hope it comes out alright.. for your sake of doing all the work.

i dont have to worry about emissions. i just moved out to alabama in december and they dont give a s**t what you do. as far as the front end conversion im not gonna do it.
dude.. a K-swap.. paint job..labour in doing all that work.... I agree with NOFX...go buy a RSX.. you'll have enough to even buy a hotdog , pack of smokes, and beer..

what are people gonna do next??? convert a coupe into a hatch!?

LOL.. with all jokes aside..do what you like... ! don't want to be a prick! Goodluck with it!
labor? labor for what? this is the second k civic ive done. one was a shop car now this is my own personal car. everything im doing im putting in myself. onlything im not doing is painting the car which my cousin is doing for just the cost of paint. and yes my dad does have a 03 rsx with a type r motor in it but no im not getting his motor. ok so if i went out and bought a rsx and then did all the mods i wanna do to it 1) it will cost a hell of a lot more! 2) it will run 2 seconds slower in the 1/4.....with the swap. interior and all the mods it should cost 10,000 or less including the price of the car. try getting a rsx for anywhere near that

Wait a minute... so the 5G with everything you listed is going to cost $10,000 or less according to you. And you say that the RSX will cost about $15,000 more than your completed project.

RSXs go for about $25,000 where you live?

I just did a search on AutoTrader for all RSXs for sale within 100 miles of my zip code and I couldn't find one over $20,000. They were all between $17,895 and $19,995. On Cars.com it says they range between $13,680 and $22,995. The $23,000 seems to be a fluke though since all other cars were under $20,000 even on Cars.com. The $23,000 one also had less than 13,000 on it and was a 2006 (with leather too).

no but after all the mods im gonna do to the motor it will be close to 25 or so. k-pro =1000 bucks, clutch and flywheel will be somewhere around 550, intake, header,exhaust,11.5:1 compression pistons, p&p head, cams, valvesprings and retainers...it will cost about 5,000 or so in mods. so u have 19,000 plus 5,000 dollers in mods and your up to 24000 for a car that will run high 12's. i paid 1,500 for my hatch. motor is gonna be 3000 plus 5,000 in mods =9500 bucks

even the interior fitment is s**t though. it hangs so low you won't even be able to see the pendels

I have the leather RSX seats in my eg hatch. (Front and back) They fit perfect except for a small gap on either side of the rear seat bench.

As for the rsx front end conversion, I wouldn't do it. But I do like it more than any other conversion I've seen. I find the other conversions like the jdm integra front end on a eg looks too long for this car. At least with the rsx conversion the car still looks short and stubby.
