i probably should resay waht i said. psi is a pretty meaningless number, the important number is flow and hp. 200 hp is about the limit of d series rods, be it 7 psi on a t3/4 or 12 psi on a t-25. any more than that, and you get real marginal in terms of strenght and reliability. the pistons arent far behind that. b series internals are good for a bit over 300 whp, thanks to thicker forged rods, stronger pistons, and much tighter tolerances, and a general higher build quality in terms of performance. any more, and again, the rods get marginal at that point. but by far the biggest killer of high performance motors- be it n/a, turbo, nitrous, or any combo of those is detonationn. controlling that with proper fuel and ignition curves goes much further than anything else in determining reliability of a motor.

i know peeps are running 200 whp, but not many are lasting that long with much more than that. and if you dont know how to drive a boosted motor on the ragged edge of blowing the motor, (like most of the nubs on this site) then less hp will greatly increase reliability.

this is dynoed on d16turbo on my engine exactly with the stock greddy kit and i think it has BOV and IC

-->180whp 164wtq

so i don't know what the wheel horse power to crank horse power exact number is but i'm guessing it will be over 200 hp at the crank..... so would the stock greddy kit be pushing on the bottom end... what could i do to help this out

omg... why would anybody be trying to squeeze every bit of hp their motor can possibly handle for DAILY DRIVING??? be smart, tune your car for daily driving which means 6lbs of boost and keep it reliable. you should not be drag racing to work each day.
and when you take it to the track have it re-tuned if you really want too
