Well I figured I'd post up some pics of my car since I've never done it before and I just finished putting on my new exhaust. I'll keep updating this as I upload some pictures I have saved.

I installed a Y8 IM a couple weeks ago and took some after the fact pictures with my jury rigged throttle linkage.

Headlight Update
I did some work to my headlights while I wait for a couple parts. Again sorry for the shitty pictures, the light was coming in at a weird angle.

I used 220 grit sand paper to get the chrome off the inner housing and then used 3 coats of Dupli-Color Sandable Primer. I then sanded the primer a bit to make it smooth and then did about 6 coats of Dupli-Color Gloss Black Engine Enamel (for the high temp). Took me in total of about 4 hours (includes dry time in between coats).

Smells like ass and is loud as all hell but it's got a nice sound and the butt dyno feels the difference.

haha yea that happens when you live in the north. turbo should be coming this fall

It's a quick fix for a huge hole. It was only on there for a week or so. The updates will keep coming.

looks real good, full engine back exhaust, i guess you would call it that, looks real nice, megan has some quality products for sure. But how long has that header been on the car, it looks discolored already, did you touch it with you hands when you were putting it on?

It's only been on there for a few days and I did touch it. There's some nasty finger prints on it.

Nice looking exhaust.. same one I got.. mine hasn't tarnished or turned colors yet (knock on wood)... it has that cool looking goldish color.. nice set up..

I live in upstate NY, any my car has NO rust on it. Not even my exhaust. Just matters how good you keep your car (Im not saying the OP dosent keep up his car, maybe the owner before him didnt).


To OP; car looks much much better. Ive had my Megan header for over a year now, and not one problem with it. You'll love it.

sorry for the late response i've been on vacation for the past few days.

Yea the car is in pretty much the same state (rust and "damage" wise) as when I got it. The person before me didn't take very good care of the engine at all.

The metal plate attached to my strut bar is my jury rigged throttle plate. When I got the Y8 manifold it didn't come with the throttle bracket so I had to come up with a quick way to hook it up.

I got everything from bonehead performance. Prices are good but if megan doesn't have it in stock (megan stuff ships directly from their warehouse) then you have to wait quite a while. I waited over 2 weeks just for the header.
