Im doing a whole lot to my car at once so i thought i would start up a little build thread.

here what i already got

gsr motor

I dont know what this is or why it might be zip tied like that

oil pan was tapped for turbo, i guess ill have to get a new one

The guy gave me this seat for free when i picked up the motor

b16 trans out of a 99 si

clutmasters stage 3 clutch with a 12.5 lb flywheel

stuff im waiting to be shipped to me are as follows
obx lsd
technafit stainless steel brake and clutch lines
oem timing belt and water pump kit
type r oil pump
front main seal
oem dizzy cap and rotor
oem gsr throttle cable

the guy i got the motor from still needs to give me a distributor, injectors, and spark plug cover

I still need an oil pan and crank pulley
i was thinking of getting a crank pulley from inline four, they have stock ones machined down (i dont have power steering or a/c. so that way they still have the stock dampening material. This would be ok to run right? I know the ctr N1 pulley is debatable.

what else do you guys think i should do before i put the motor in?

because i dont have a crank pulley and i want an oem one with the stock dampening material so i dont destroy my motor. i could get a used stock one, but i dont have ps or a/c, and it wont really cost me much more to go with this one.

yea i know the motor is pretty ghettoed up on the exterior but i will fix it up and clean it, I dont know how you know the condition of the internals but if you could tell me exactly what parts are beat, i will replace them if im not already.

sorry i didnt really look at the ecu, but its a stock obd1 gsr ecu, p72. the camera i have cant focus on the label for some reason

by the way i will probaly post up a 9.5 lb clutchmasters flywheel and a gsr wiring harness for sale soon if anyone is interested

no the block wasnt welded, the previous owner wanted to turbo and removed some of the ribbing to fit the turbo, but never ended up putting it in his car. he sold it back to the guy he bought it from who is a good freind of my brothers. This guy got the motor with 60,000 miles on it and ran it in his civic for about 10,000 miles, he then swapped it out becuase he found a good deal on a type r motor

i bought this motor becuase it was really cheap and i plan on rebuilding almost all of it

it wont look as bad once a clean up the chopped ribbing and strip the paint off

i think thats the fuel pressure regulator
someone told me that it opens up the butterflies at full throttle? or maybe at a certain rpm, or possibly a combination of the two?

i decided to pick up a blox manifold anyways, so i dont have to worry about it
