shaved trunk liscence plate dimple

Hey, i want to shave out my lisence plate spot on my trunk hatch....emblems already shaved, i wanna take the plate out as well as the keyhole. does anyone know how and where i can mount my back plate after ive done this?

So you want a totally smooth boot? Looks ricey IMO. Usually the numberplate goes on the bumper

IMO it is not the greatest looking thing but what you like, If you want to do it cheap stick it in the hatch window

I think he means so the tailgate is totally flush (with the number plate recess filled in). Alot of people do this here in the UK, i dont like it though.

The only way to do it properly is to weld in a plate into the recess and then fill over a thin layer of filler, its actually quite hard to get it looking perfect, alot of examples ive looked at you can still see where the recess was as the filler was craply done

Ya no worries there, i know the gys whoa re gonna do it...so it will be a+ work. as for ricey, i dunno, i dont think it does, im not shaving the inner lites or anything....and its still stock bumper (just with rear lip)

hmm...thats not so bad actually...but I have no clue where you would put your license plate...

it'd look good, but idk how good it'd look with your plate jus sittin in your window--that could throw everything off

I was thinking something like a small pastic backing to the plate, and somehow sticking that flush to the bumper...what u think? anyone any ideas how i could get that to work?

hey can you post pics of your rear bumper wit the lip on? what lip do you have anyways, i have same car and color i would just like to see how the rear bumper would look wit the lip

i cant right now, theres a steady 6 inches of snow on the ground outside so my cars been winterized....itd rip the lips right off

im putting them back on in the spring...i dont have any pics w/back lip cause the pisc i have i didnt have the back lip at that time
