i already had to do that when i 1st got my car...the original owner's plate was rusted on and i had to rip it off and put my plate in the back window..i had been driving for about 1/2 hour and got pulled over for it, they thought i stole it or something dumb lol....

i gots an idea... shave the big hole thingy... then put the license plate in the SAME PLACE, but flush with the tailgate... so its still in the middle, but flush with it.. you could fabricate the flush mouting into the plate that you will cut to fill the hole... see what im sayin? its in the same place, but its not "in" the hatch, just flush

ya i thought about that...but ive lipped my car, no kits....so id kinda have to change the whole thing which i dont really wanna do plus its big $$ to do that. Tack welding, yes, that would be dope......8)
