hey ive recently gotten a civc hatch cx and its slower than dirt and they dont make many parts for the stock s**t in it.....should i get and egine swap or sell it then get a lude or integra??? the hatch is in great condition with only 77k....

I'd swap! You've got the CX...the lightest model civic of that generation...Even if you swap a bone stock GSR in there, you'll be pretty darn quick!

If you don't have the money for a swap, then you should sell it, but you can also save some money and just get an Ls motor, which isn't too expensive and it'll make you quicker.

how much are they? 145 hp would be a major improvement on the 70 hp. stock.....but i would need to know where to find a b16avtec topend and ecu to put on it. well thanks for the info.

sorry to say this to you man but you gotta face reality. you say you wanna swap your engine but don't have the money so you want to sell your car for a integra or a prelude. unless if you're talkin about the 90's teg and lude i don't think it's gonna happen cuz you said you had no money. no matter wut the milage on your car people still say, but that's a 95 cx so they'll end up bargaining you down. but even if you did manage to sell the hatch for 4 grand wut are you gonna do with the dough. you'll probably end up buying another hatch or some 90-95 car now and you'll wish you never sold your car. i say just save up money and get a swap. any other opinions about wut i've written are welcome.

def swap it......and if you dont ahve enuff money to buy a swap, how are you possibly going to do a lsvtec.....buy a b18b...for like 2 grand...youll be running good

yea, swap that biatch... drop in a b18b and don't try and do the LS/VTEC it's not hard to find the parts but you have to realize it's not just a matter of screwing on a new head, the B16 head doesn't just bolt on the b18 block, there's a lot of cutting and drilling JUST to make it fit then you have to get the VTEC up and running which would be a HUGE pain in the ass unless you knew exactly what you are doing.

yeah, but if he had 2k to do the b18b swap just save up another $500 and do a b16a2 swap. but it's all up to you. and wut dirty said. just cuz some people say i've got ls/v-tec don't try it unless you know wut you're doing. seeing and doing is two different things. trust me on this. don't jepardize your motor for the v-tec if you get the ls motor.

i would swap it if i could, cuz of course it would be much fast than a lude or integy if u get a b18c swap in that lightweight hatch
