Should it still move?

Hello
My name is Michell, and I'm a new member here at CC, and I have a question. I just bought a 94 Civic DX from a family member of mine. It has 124k miles, and was running great as of summer 2002 when I bought it. The only thing is it has been in his OUTSIDE yard for the past 14. I was living outside of NYC, and I put down 600 bucks for it because I figured it was a good investment (for trade in or re-sell). Anyway, it hasn't been fired up much, but, like I said, it was running great when I purchased it. Should I anticipate any problems getting it started and running over the next month when I plan on putting this thing on the road?
thanks, and glad to be a part of the club.

Replace ALL fluids and ALL filters. Inspect your hoses and lines too.

Yeah replace all the fluids & might wanna get the handbrake & brakes checked out, cause of dirt that builds causing creasing!

Just fire her up, she will start one-time, no probs its a Honda Bro!

By the time everybody's done telling you what to do, you're going to end up with a full inspection and tune up..... Just do that.

 Yeah, and make sure it's NOS, not some other brand of nitrous oxide like Zex, Venom, etc. Who cares if your brake fluid has deteriorated to the point that it won't work or if your oil is now thick sludge... I guess it doesn't matter if your gaskets began to dryrot either.

Listen, man, you need a full fluid/filter change, and a good inspection

Put some Nitrous Oxide Systems in there huh? Its called nitrous. NOS is a Holley performance brand.

Anyways, the honda will start up fine. Be good to it and it will be good to you.

I didn't know NOS was part of Holley.... Thought they were their own brand. Oh well. That shows how little I care about names. Anyway, the car should start. Maybe it'll need a new battery to get it going, but I wouldn't drive long without everything I suggested above.

Thanks, everyone

So, basically, you are all telling me to drain all the old fluid and add the new . The alternator and battery are being replaced this week. I will keep you all updated on the CDX as it takes shape. It's an sohc 1.5l, which I plan on changing soon. It's rated at 102 hp, but I would like to boost that to over 200 hp. I don't plan on racing it, just making it lean. fast, but quiet for the road. I hate loud cars (except when they are racing). Don't boo me off the board, ok.
