I heard of a bone stock Genesis setting itself on fire...
The engine in this new combo is a 9.4 liter (572 ci.) with a Keith Black block and Indy heads. Engine management is Autronic SM4 with Autronic CDI 500R ignition controller. Fuel system is Weldon (2345-A pump) and controller with a Siemens/Zeitronix ethanol analyzer for FlexFuel (E-85) capability. Precision Turbo supplied the turbo (PT106) and injectors (165 lb/hr). Dual HKS GTII 60mm wastegates and Dual Tial blow offs. A/A intercooler was custom fabbed by Dennis Spal (core is 31"x14"x4"). Transmission is a JW Ultraglide backed by a Gear Vendors overdrive. Tubular front suspension is custom fabbed by Dennis Spal. Rear suspension is mono-leaf caltrac system on a live axle (Dana 60).

i hate the genesis....pointless car from a pointless company.
Do you have any VALID reason? The car has come a LONG way and is smashing most of the cars out today in that class, looks good, runs great, handles awesome, and a good price..... Also has a good warranty to boot.... Please provide a valid reason rather than make a pointless statement....
i like the genesis, i think it gives good competition to the mustang and camero, it looks good, kinda reminds me of a supra and the 4 cylindar model can be turbo charged by the factory to have the same specs as the 6 cylinder model, i see no reasons to hate

Okay so here is what concerns me... The car caught fire while doing a race of some sort, no matter what it is, it is a race none the less... Looking at the pics the car is modded, has a bigger turbo from what I can see, after Market Hard FMIC Piping BOV/Waste Gate etc etc from WHAT I CAN SEE.. Exhaust is also aftermarket... With that said, how many mods did the guy have??? He could of done a full rebuild? He could of done a lot of things... Which then puts the question to was it Owner related or Hyundai... As you very well know man not everything online is what it seems... Even from the quote below there is not a known reason....

I dunno enough about this car to comment, turbo doesn't look that big to me but maybe it is swapped. It had some mishap w/the fuel line.
Drift event or not, they advertised this car drifting and one blew up b/c of the fuel line. you can take that risk by all means.
