sirius antenna install

i've been wondering about this stuff to.. since i work for the company i'd like to actually have it in my car.. i've been hearing about some kind of an antenna that is just like a wire with a little sensor on the end that just goes in the rubber around the window and doesnt acutally have a little box or whatever anyone ever herd about this?

Never heard of it, but I'd def be interested in it.

yeah for sure.. it'd be good enough just to not have the thing on the car somewhere. Wireless would be a dream.. but considering some of the problems i see usually with the antennas it'd only be a pain in the ass

i installed it on the roof near the front windshield close to the regular antenna. the wires fit alright under the weatherstrip except near the top where it wouldnt go under all the way. its getting reception but i just have to activate it now.

Ok this is what your going to want to do if you want it on the roof near the windshaeld. pull off your a pillar, remove your driver side sunvissor , and any kind off mid vissor or mirror and the head liner ring around your sunroof. Mount the antenna in the middle of the roof close to the glass and run the wire thought the sun roof under the head liner past the sunvissor mounts and down the a pillar to your wheatherstripeing around the door. reinstall your head liner ring around your sunroof and mirrors,vissor and mounts removed before. tape the wire to the a pillar and reinstall the a pillar. run the wire under the dash to your tuner box mounted behind your glove box or under your driver seat. I like it behind the glove box so no one can find it. dont worry about the wire coming thought the sunvisor it has rubber pading and wont cut or crush the wire.

I put mine on the plastic space in between the hood and the windshield right in front of the wipers. I just used the double-sided tape that came with the kit to make it stay. Just run the wire through the firewall and the whole thing looks so good that noone will even notice.
