^^ I think just adding in 1st post requirements or a "test question" at sign up will solve 99.9% of the issues. More police isn't always the answer. Adding a bouncer at the door is probably all that's needed for now. Also, removing the 60 second thread reporting would greatly help for those that have been doing that.

Just spoke with Justin, and he's currently weighing several options. Hopefully, we'll have a fix soon.

I don't entirely know the logistics of how vBulletin works, but something like that may require an add-on. If so, I know we've had problems with new add-ons clashing with existing add-ons. I think this is one of the issues Justin is currently trying to work around.

Justin implemented a possible fix. I don't think knowing what it is would help anyone get around it, but just in case, I'm not going to say what was implemented. Just wanted to let you guys know what we're on top of it, and this should help.

it seems to have worked ive been on off and on all day today and only had to ban a handful of spammers 6 or 7 max so thats alot better than what yall have seen recently.

Usually it hits right about now, not sure if its because no mods are up so they don't get deleted or what. 1 seems to be the start

The problem we might end up facing, is that they might not all be bots. When that happens, I don't think there's much that can be done besides banning them as quickly as possible.

Either way, we should see a gradual slowing down of spam.

Either Justin's fix did it or they're backing off. I've only banned a few today.

It's funny how its ruining some people's day. It's not that big of a deal really. The spam is definitely annoying but it's nothing to stop coming here over or threatening to leave.

Some are being way too dramatic.

Keep it up guys it's getting less each day.

but it is significantly reducing it.
