No, it wasn't a background. It was the post cell width being set to 640x. Notice how it's significantly wider now that Justin fixed it?

No I was wondering why everything is compressed to the middle of the screen. And also why there is overlapping issues in PM's & so forth. But before the change I didn't have all this white area on the sides of my screen. Background or whatever it wasn't there before the update.

The overlapping issues should be fixed now. If not please let me know. The site is now a fixed width so there will be extra space on the sides of the screen depending on your screen resolution.

1680x1050 is my screen resolution and i have more then 50% of my screen covered by "extra space." Is there anyway i can fix that on my end? it looks like garbage and is a little more difficult to read through.

here's a tip for all high resolution users: don't maximize your web browser. keep it at a rough 1024x768 size and use the extra screen real estate for other windows. here's how my screen (1680x1050 resolution) looks like:

i get about 970 pixels of content

i do agree that scalable would be much better, but probably a lot tougher to implement. then again, i'm not a web designer.

i'd just like it to be wider....i'm pretty sure it is entered in as a percentage. right now its probably 55%. i'd rather see it closer to 70%. nothing wrong with fitting more content on each line.

i hear ya... just remember the site needs to work for those with a 4:3 aspect ratio as well.
