wow thanks guys, my intake made the same noise (sounds like turbo blow off valve, just constantly) and after tightening some joints and gaskets problem solved. check all your seals n s**t if you still hear it.

[Has anyone found this to be a problem on Short Ram intakes? When I had my short ram on I heard the noise when accelerating too. I can't tell you what it sounds like now b/c it's getting a facelift, so i haven't seen it in a few months.

my car used to, it wasnt the intake, people asked if i had a turbo, but it was a vacume leak. when i replaced the engine my granpa adjusted the idol and now u can hear the intake sucking at idol, i havent noticed it as much when accelerating.

does it sound like a low rumbling, and a whistling sound at certain areas when u push the pedal down?, like when ur traveling steady if u put ur pedal to a certain position is whistles?, if thats what ur getting, it's perfectly normal

i get the same sound. i tightened all the clamps, etc and still doesnt go away.
its probably the throttlebody. butterfly valves opening slightly and too much air cause a high pitched whistle sound.

Its on the back if the intake manifold..has a little black tube thing on it which I think is the electric motor. Its how the car sucks air in when your stopped/idle. The screw that open/closes the valve is on the throttle body right above the inlet where your CAI attaches.

Basically, if you have low/erratic idle the idle air control unit is usually the problem. Always check/replace PCV valve first though since thats only $2.00 and a new idle air control is like $150 at the lowest.

When the 6th gen civic idle is too low, usually, unless you played with the rubber stops, the hood will rattle very loud. Twist them in farther to make the noise go away then order a new IAC from Autozone or the dealer.

I know a lot of people hate Autozone but they use Linux so,I gotta support them.
WTF???
HAHHAHAHAA
