If I remember correctly, clarion came out with large sub, somewhere ove 30" years back, so did some other companies.

but everyone is saying why...look at it as a marketing technique...sure itmight not be practical...but what still looms in everyones heads..MTX Jackhammer...then, next time you go to circuit city and see MTX, that will go through your brain....I think they did what they needed to do.
