havent really posted on the forum much lately but i did have to put a new D in my car with 70,000 miles on it cuz i hydrolocked my 100,000 mile D. Now im ready to boost and im jus gonna go ahead and order the greddy kit for sohc civic ex's. basically what i need to know is what else am i gonna need for that kit for performance. i kno its a str8 bolt on kit minus an intercooler and BOV, which isnt needed for that application from what i believe. so i jus need to kno what im gonna need along with that kit to make my turbo build sucessful.

although you will be better off with an intercooler and BOV, you don't need them to run boost. to the best of my knowledge the greddy kit comes with everything you need

so the piping it comes with i can use with an intercooler? and as for as fuel management and boost control, greddy emange takes care of all that? and the greddy kit comes with a wastegate correct?

the piping that comes with the greddy kit will not be enough for an FMIC. go to www.tunertoys.com and order their kit which is more then enough. fuel management should be covered under emanage.

What EM1 project said... I forgot that kit does NOT have enough/right piping for the intercooler....

also keep in mind that the greddy kit is going to come with alum. parts most likely and the tunertoys piping is stainless steel so it wont weld together. you'll have to ditch the greddy s**t and use all TT stuff, or good luck finding aluminum piping kits.

lol i mean the pic does make it easy to tell....greddy turbo kit pics have like a foot long ram air pipe thats it. but i guess if you dont have a set up, you wont know how much piping you need till you fit it all together.

it'd be cheapest to go custom. mount the intercooler and then fab up the pipes yourself and have some one weld them, or weld yourself if you have a welder or a friends welder.

also, don't run the setup without a bov. its really not healthy for the turbo

if your are not to familiar with the turbo set up go with a premade kit custom set ups or for pros.

custom is the cheapest he's right. just make sure that if you arent 100% sure on what you're doing, have somebody around that does. If you have a friend that can bend and weld, etc. you're all set. the kid that helped me does fabrication, welding, etc. so i was all set.

cant i jus order the greddy intercooler pipe kit. ive seen sites like overboost and coximports have them. im sure that would be my best bet. as for a BOV, could i go with somethin like an RFL for my setup?

the reason we say its not necessary to get an intercooler or BOV is because you dont need them to run boost. we just tell you to get them so you dont blow your motor up five times as fast as you're already going to.
