ya. technically you can run a turbo kit without a bov or intercooler but your seriously risking the health of your motor and your turbo. without the bov you risk surging which can destroy the seals on the turbo. and without an intercooler you'll be pushing in hott air which is very detrimental to the engine for many reasons. search if you want more detail.

greddy does make an intercooler kit but it'll cost you another arm and a leg. if you can afford it sure go with it i guess. it'll be the easiest and help you understand how a COMPLETE turbo kit looks when installed.. then once you realize what parts are what etc you'll kick yourself for buying the greddy kit all together and not just going with a 100% custom kit from the beginning heheheh.

if you really don't know what you're doing, then buy a kit. for charge piping and everything, if you're loaded, go ahead and buy a greddy intercooler kit. Have a reputable shop install everything, and for god's sake, make sure they drop your oil pan and weld the coupling to it, not just bolt it in. Have a decent exhaust/muffler shop mandrel bend you some charge pipe if you don't wanna buy the greddy intercooler kit, and get yourself a 2-row intercooler, or even just a dsm sidemount. really, with a greddy kit and emanage, you're not going to push anything that'll detonate your motor off the bat. Also, if you get a shop to do this (and with your knowledge, I reccomend it), make sure they put oil back in your system. When I got my body work done, and my radiator remounted, they didn't f**king put coolant in my system, and I almost burnt my f**king motor up on the way home :???:

suprisingly it hasnt affected the gas mileage of anybody that i know whos turbo. come to think about it, this kid Julio with a 99-00 coupe has a turbo ls non vtec and he gets BETTER gas mileage somehow. Jon has a GSR turbo and he gets about the same gas mileage. :what:

I'm sure there is, but it'll cost twice as much.
