it's really simple

for the cost of a 5 lug conversion you can build yourself a MUCH better suspension/brake setup

there's only 2 real reasons to do 5 lug conversion.

1 - bling... "look at me, i have extra lugnuts"

2 - you're running enough power to snap or break a 4 lug setup... for that you need a monsterous amount of power

you could pull that 5 lug off right now, sell it, and buy a setup that will blow your current setup away

awd/fwd has nothing to do with any of what is being discussed, nor have i claimed to be better than anyone for any reason
well thanks for finally answering my question and you do have a point. but i feel safer knowing i have bigger brakes up front and disc in the back, now don't get me wrong you can get all that aftermarket with 4 lug too. but my friend happened to get the whole 5 lug conversion for a very good price that he couldn't pass up. anyways, problems resolved. type r decals are off and all my questions have been answered. end of story. updated picks later later today guys.

oh yeah that picture isn't chopped, i got some ground controls on there now. keke

stop the arguing and name calling or im banning people.. end of story...

in regards to five lug.. maybe not anymore.. but in the past ive known people who have gone to five lug for one simple reason.. and that is to be able to rock rims that dont come 4 X 100 you may think thats lame or not cool enough.. but whatever.. who the hell cares.. not every mod on every car is going to be done for function... people DO some modifications because they want to achieve a look that is also part of modifying cars...

Hell, for gunmetal ITR wheels (on the right color car of course), I'd get five lug just for those wheels. I love the gunmetal ITRs.

ha they were the first i saw.. i remember the first time i ever saw 5 lug.. it had those and of course i never even thought about it.. but i remember thinking.. "wtf 4 lug itr wheels" and then i noticed the 5th lug.. i remember thinking it was actually a clever mod to net something that was at the time pretty unheard of.. i mean hell if i was "done" my car i might go five lug and rock some itr wheels....

b***h'n moan all you want

typer badges are poserish

the paint job was shitty

and the 5lug conversion is just bling, it takes a whopping amount of power to justify it as needed... there's no way he's making enough to say it's anything else

that's the picture he posted to "represent" his car
he's lame, this thread is lame, and so was your response
are you stupid or something? since when does it take X amount of horsepower to justify ANYTHING? if he had a sohc in there, with 5lug conversion, what difference would it make if you compare it to a fully built turbo K?

your car has 5 lugs, its stock. does that mean it has enough power to justify it? NO. you're an idiot.

give the guy a break, his car is clean. he has more done to his car then most the people on here. he has good taste and i give him props for what he's done to the car.

FYI - most people paint their interior and engine bay black because it is easier to match with any other color, say he wanted to go out, and paint his car green. it would be cheaper and wiser for him to just paint the jams and exterior rather then stripping the WHOLE car. some people do it this way, there's nothing wrong with it.

i think you guys are either jealous, or just giving him s**t for no reason. i dont see where you can rate his paint job as being s**t from that ONE picture.

Black engine bays rule. They make it look so clean imo. I wasn't going to mention paint either, because again, it's one pic. I'd have to see more, and probbaly better quality pics in order to even form an opinion on that.

too add to the paint, a lot of people are doing it more and more now to show off their shaved, wiretucked engine bays =).

I've always wanted a black engine bay and now everyone's doing it before me. :x It's something that muscle car guys used to do. I'm not sure if I'd be wiretucking anytime soon because if I did, I'd want to shave at the same time and I'm not going to shave the bay until I'm "done" with my car.
