with the money you save doing it yourself you could get some mid grade cadence or diamond audio components and amp them.

you cant have 14 volts at the amp? i disagree there completely. i had a volt meter right before my amp and it normally said between 13.5 and 14.4 depending what was playing. Im not trying to have the bigger stick. im just saying, i worked in car audio for a few years, and i know what ive done. it was a true 1000rms, when i did my system it was almost worth 3k and i didnt cut any corners

OP, to be honest, you really should do it yourself. and if you run into any problems or questions, just post it on here. we can talk you through it

Not arguing with u but thats very impressive if you got that much at the amp.
The only time I got that voltage at the amp was when i used 1/0 wire for power and ground straight from the battery and changed all the factory grounds.
I've done car stereo for 20 years and like i said its pretty hard to get that voltage at the amp especially on a car that has a 80/90 amp alternator.

not trying to have the bigger stick=)

Best buy installation of two subs and an amp is $100 and $75 for some heavy gauge wire. I don't know audio, but a lifetime warranty and set-up for only $500 including installation is good with me. The Kenwood amp in this pack: http://reviews.bestbuy.com/3545/9389173/kenwood-party-pack-with-two-12-subwoofers-and-350w-amplifier-reviews/reviews.htm
is a starter amp, at such a budget, subs are subs. put the money you save towards a better amp in the future, and enjoy enough subwoofer to hold you off until you can upgrade. it is silly to spend a bunch starting off when you are upgrading anyways....
