in hondas lighter weight makes a world of a difference

in small hp engines ( for an 11 sec. car) you depend on light weight

correction. all liscenced tracks require certian things for cars faster than 12.00, like a scatter shield, 6 pt cage, helmet, certified harnesses.... the list goes on and on.

a GSR swap in a gutted REX will go mid 13s.... you dont need a huge turbo for what youre doin.
Thats if the track is a licensed NHRA, IHRA, etc. track. Otherwise the rules are varied but they do have to go by a standard safety rule. Which I beleive is just Roll Cage, Helmet, Some type of fire suppression (Halon or Extinguisher in the car), and I think a fire retardent suit.

I think the fire retardant suit is after you hit 9s or 7s. I had a friend that had a mustang that hit 7.5 (owned his own shop). He had to get doctor check ups once every three months or something so that he could race it.

right, once into the 11s, you do need a fire retardant jacket i believe

the BOV going off is just related to a build up of pressure in the intake. it happens everytime you shift as long as the turbo has been given proper time/RPMs to spool.

actually it happens anytime when you let off of the gas and there is positive vacuum in the intake manifold

doh its prob a stock eclipse or near stock 4g63 meaning if its a 1g it came with a 14b , 2g a 13b or a t25
all tiny tarbos... hes prob jus got a aftermarket bov cuz hes the rice though the 2g one does suck... leaks at 12 ad is plastic

plus they arent geared as high as hondas are, so they do spool down low faster

also many factors will help spool faster besides nitrous which is dumb ... haha a larger dp will help ,free flowing exhaust, of course a bb turbo.. the list goes on

having a screen over the compressor intake instead of a filter will help spool much faster as well

i could drive normal to 4000 as long as i wasnt going sloww, if i gave it enough gas to move to 4k i would blow off everytime... you don have to be all out balls to the wall....

and Twin turbos arent so u can use 2 smaller turbos, they were made to lessen the effects of that blammmm boost hits you and your car goes nuts
so boost will be more progressive over the power band

though some set ups are sequntial, some are high boost low boost
a single turbo sized for your setup is all you need
a gsr built with a smaller t3/t04e 57 trim can easily push a crx into the 11s if built right
you could go bigger if you wanted to be king of the dyno but you are going to eat tires all day
you would prob onlyu need like 350whp... to get what you want
on a built gsr it ssimple

stock block u could do near 300 with a great tune and same turbo

wow thanks evan...VERY informative....see that was my thing...I understand on the street i wont run 11s but whenever I go to the track I could turn up the boost controller and also run slicks and get 11s

careful with slicks but yea street tires wont help, drag radials well you better be one kick ass driver
slicks break s**t, giving you a heads upnow
your car is catching traction and a lot of tq is going down that suspension, make sure you got some good axles
