srt4 vs turbo rsx

Hey man what year GT? I just picked up a motor so I'm sure I should be able to wax a stock srt

A new GT and srt-4 is a drivers race.

a stock foxbody gt runs mid 14's while srt4's run high 13's / low 14's.
and my 95 stang has 10 less hp then the foxbody gt and weighs a little more... i couldnt touch an srt4

A 2004 SRT-4 is faster than a Mustang GT 2004.

Ive seen it in my track, automatic GTs throw 15.7-15.9 quarter mile times.
Manual GTs throw 15.1-15.3 quarter mile times.

SRT-4s throw 14.5-14.8 times.

My track is 5400 ft above sea level, I know it affects the NA motors more, but still, SRT-4s are faster.
Sealevel they run 13.8-14.0 (srts) while mustangs run 14.5-14.7

Stock 5-speed GT's will pull a 13.8-14.2 with a good driver. An SRT-4 will pull roughly the same times, also with a good driver. Corrected for altitude of course

Is it just me or does anyone else think the srt's sound like s**t when they get on it? same with the wrx sounds like their mising a cylinder, but still fast as hell. cool vid man

That's because the boxer engine causes a cancelling effect on one of the pistons. So you only hear 3 cylinders.

srt-4's are quite quick. sleepercivicex from turbod16 has an srt-4 and it's f'n quick.

this is the first time i've seen an srt4 take on a turboed rsx,, wus it an rsx-s? well it wus probably cuz the srt4 wus more upgraded than the rsx. last time i went to famoso raceway, i saw a turboed rsx-s beat an upgraded srt4, the rsx-s ran a 12.8 and tha srt4 a 13.4,,,yup!

only running a 13.4? that srt4 must not have been upgraded much... they almost run those times stock.

it must not have had a whole lot on it just to shave off half a second or so. where as the rsx was about 1.5 seconds faster than stock at a 12.8
