believe it or not ive heard people recommend ssauto/xs power manifolds on various 240sx forums as a cheap, good, tubular manifold. im planning to run one on my build.

its like you saying the grass is greener on the other side...but to them..it never could..even their parts look like its glued together when it fall apart...like the turbo..and the header they sell..it look lik it was burnt until it crack..Lmao

there soo much..to say..loook up their reps online and you will see what people would say and what happen to the buyers of the parts when they used it.. ..

I've heard that some are better than others... but then again, I've seen, what, three cracking so far (on cars that I knew)?

They actually brace them now.. interesting. We'll never know how much they have improved until someone tries out their "new" manifolds. I mean, companies can turn around... think about Omni Power... there used to be people with their suspensions literally BREAKING then they did a complete recall and omni stuff isn't all that bad. Hell it's like the same stuff Skunk2, DC sports, etc. etc. sells...

Wow, the manifold in that link looks exactly like the same crap they made before.

A friend of mine with a turbo D series had his crack on 3 of the runners and also on the collector.

SSautochrome has cleaned up there act. Back in the day, they where the worst danm things in the world, but I have looked at a few of thier newer products, and they are acutally very well built. Id like to see how the turbo kits that have been made in the past year do, cause from what I hear, they are not bad at all.

I dont understand why everyone is giving SSautochrome so much s**t.. They sell a LOT of manifolds, and for like 10 out of a batch of like 10,000 to split/crack or whatever isnt too bad considering the price that they're at. besides, if it cracks, just weld it back.. :what:

I ran one for a year and a half before I sold my car.... no complaints. Depends on whether or not you care if you have a name under your hood. Also, the power that you gain from a new mani is minimal. Why would you pay hundreds of dollars for 5hp????

Reasons to chose one brand over another (for general aftermarket auto parts):
- Price.
- Reliability.
- Performance / Engineering.
- Aesthetics.
- "Bling" factor (i.e., the name).

For example.... my car... if I were buying a manifold for my car looks would play a part. I know not everyone would agree with that though (just like some might be okay with a part that isn't the most popular brand name or the most/least expensive).
