Stay away from autoleathers.co.uk

(I apologize for the bad grammar.)

Im writing here because I want to warn everyone against dealing and buying from Auto Leathers, autoleathers.co.uk. They offer customized covers and material to the interior of your car.

Why do I warn you? This is what happens:

January 17 I ordered a set of custom seat covers for my car. This was after I had talked to the owner, Tony, for over a month in which he seemed extremely messy and asked, among other things, to send him pictures of my seats 5 (!) times. Memory in his head and "save as" in the computer is apparently unknown in that house. Anyway, I was told that I would receive the seat covers within two weeks.

January 26 I contacted the seller and ask if the goods are sent. January 27 tony replies that they will be ready by Friday February 1. Ok..

Then I sent a total of 3 emails in the period February 2 to February 12, and not until my last e-mail (dated Feb. 12), I get an answer. Seller responded that they would be ready February 14.

February 18 I contacted the seller again, as I have not heard anything more, and get the answers that the goods will be sent out tomorrow, February 19.

I hear nothing from the seller and send three emails in the period February 20 to February 27. I get an answer after the last mail. Seller now says that this is on its way and give me a DHL tracking number. The February 28 the package is actually sent.

March 5, the package arrives, after seven weeks. Turns out that the seller only sent two head rest covers instead of 4 as agreed and that these two did not fit my car at all (about half the size that I need). Also, the fit of the front seats are bad, but I'll have to live with that. I contacted the seller, no reply. Trying to reach the seller by email 6-7 times without getting any response. Calls, no one there. Calls another number, no one there. Open a dispute in PayPal and PayPal decides the case in my favor where I send the package back with tracking and get refunded the full amount.

Suddenly on March 20, tony seems willing to send me what I miss, and will contact me March 25 and send it then. We come to an agreement and the case in paypal are being closed.

Nothing happens and I contact them again March 29. Getting the answer that they are ready and will be posted April 3.
6th, 9th, and 10th of April I contact the seller again when nothing happened, stating that I am very tired of being lied to and ignored.

April 11 I get an answer saying that they are sent and that I will receive them April 12.

Three calls, seven mails and fourteen days later I have neither heard or received anything!

EEC will not take cases with scammers and recommended contacting VISA. So right now I'm in the process with them to hopefylly get my money back.

Terrible situation but your first mistake was dealing with this company AFTER talking to him for a month and coming to the conclusion that he is "messy" and forgetful.

Second mistake was closing the paypal dispute BEFORE getting your items. He worked with you because he was backed into a corner by paypal. Once you closed it, he was free to run as there are no more ties and you can't open another case. He obviously has done this before and knows the deal.

You linked other people that have had problems. You should have researched BEFORE starting a transaction with this guy, not after. That is the FIRST rule when dealing over the internet. Find everything you can about a seller before pulling the trigger.
