i have heard that about Blunder as well. i just know my friend who is building a 400whp+ 240 wont let them work on his car, he will only buy parts from there. i personally havent done business with them so i dont know.

you cant do it on an h because unless you use mahle cast pistons, you cant put a forged piston on the stock sleeves. and the stock honda pistons have notoriously weak ringlands, which would not live very long at 400 whp. there are a few people using the mahle pistons at or above 400 whp without problems on the stock sleeves, but most h owners run iron sleeves because of the piston issue.

Yea ok that would do it for me too, my buddy is having his engine totally rebuilt there and they have had it forever.

care to explain the advantage of vband? i dont even know, ive never had one with vband before=)

Disadvantage of V-Band:
  • If you run AC, and the compressor points toward the trans-side. Clearance issues..

Advantage of V-Band:
  • removing the downpipe for ANY reason
  • Installing the downpipe (one bolt to contend with, versus 4 or 5 )
  • minute changes in downpipe angle, whereas welded flange setups area f**king nightmare (better have it right the first time :!:
  • stainless clamp = no rusty bolts
That's it, in a nutshell. I love them!

excellent, so basically just use a coupler to attach instead of welding a flange and bolting it?
