its not too bad, but it needs some new parts.... i just need to save and pieve it togther, in the end, buying all new parts will pay off :cool:

thanks man, 300+ would be very nice! and i definitly will keep cc posted. i pm'd a mod to change the name, add a 56k warning and a new title, but it hasnt been done yet :???: thanks again!

Took apart the engine so more today with newspeed :twisted:

got the valve springs, valves, retainers, oil pan, pistons,rods, and i got a 1250lbs engine stand. i will soon be sending out the head to be cleaned up, and after some more work hopefully send out the block and start to buy parts. Heres some pics from today...

Damn those pistons look aweful. For 80 bucks though good pickup

werd, all that work for 225hp? not worth it at all, i would be aiming at 300-400 if i were you

hahah its on the other side of m basment where we store stuff, so its not an important carpet. I am still trying to find the bolts for the engine stand. Is it true the size for the b18b1 block is 12 X 1.25 mm? i cant find those at the store i was at. But yeah, as soon as its on the engine stand and easier to move around ill be happy.

i said this before i thought it through. Now i am going to do an entire rebuild from the bottom up and will be looking for 3-400 hp. i didnt want to spend alot in the project at first, but qucily changed my mind and now im hoping for higher hp. If im dumping alot of money i want big numbers :lol:

looks like a manky old motor at the mo, but once your finished with it Im sure you can get it good as new if not better =)

thanks for all the comments! build is going slow, but soon when im done the d-series manual swap, ill start buying some parts every few weeks and updating it. :cool:
