Racersky said:Yes I found my car like in mid October......the insurance gave me the value of the car $4500 plus the work with me on my motor and rims. 25% of what i paid for my motor and my rims. Motor $2500 they gave me $625...... GSR Blades $600 they gave me $150. Plus they need a copy of all the receipts and all that crap. So in the end I received. $5275 I guess it's alright......better than nothing.
No LOL I payed 350 for them but my friend at a shop wrote a receipt for them cause when I purchase them I just gave straight up cash and that was it.Nine78Guy said:man, did you really pay 600 for the blades? lol i think you got ripped off.
I'm confused....I don't live in dover, de and also the person who help me install my turbo was a real close friend to my parents since he owns a performance shop.NOFX said:I think that car that recently got stolen from Dover, DE (we have incredibly little car theft) had Jersey plates on it. The theory is that since this guy just bought it and just turboed it that someone from the shop or somethign followed him back.
I'm not sure where they found it, sut it was stripped.
First car I've ever heard abotu being stiolen from Dover.
I was talking about another car... Which the latest owner is from Dover, DE. He bought his car from another state (I thinki it was Jersey, which the post before mine reminded me of this) and then he went to another state besdies DE (I thinkm Jersey) and got his turbo installed there. The theory was peopel at the shop (which was in Jersey I believe) or people who saw it out of state and knew the set up (people from Jersey) followed him home and took the car.Racersky said:I'm confused....I don't live in dover, de and also the person who help me install my turbo was a real close friend to my parents since he owns a performance shop.
If they want it *your* car they'll know what to bring to be prepared. So if they were looking at yours they'd bring an ECU. They could have even been in the car before, seen that they needed an ECU, and brought it next time even. Steering wheels can be cut to remove the club and I've also heard of them being bent. I imagine the same could happen to the clutch/brake club. And a ghost switch also isn't really reliable in the least. Especially if they've been watching.Racersky said:Took out my Ecu, club the steering wheel, two foot clubs one on clutch the other on brake. I have the fuel cut off switch wired to my hazard lights switch and rewired my hazard lights to another location.
