me and my dad took off my catalytic converter, since waas was down there messing with the pipes for my turbo...i duno if i like it or not, cuz ive not got to drive it, cuz were still installing the turbo...anyways by christmas i hope to have a apexi n1, so while putting that on, ill probley put a new cat on...if its as loud as you guys are saying, im sure it would be ungodly with teh n1

why not just get some beefier cams?? the b16 can hang in there just fine with the b18's .. i know you know that... but you dont have to swap out an entire motor when yoou could just get cams...

well. str8 piping wll be hela illegal in cali ,lol for one thing. but u also lose low end HP, which is not a really big deal..so why dont u just get and exhaust that actualy gives u hp and at the same time u aint gotta worry bout bolting back on the cat every time u gotta get a smog test

str8 piping from the header to the muffler is... you can get just piping from the cat. conveter to the muffler and that is legal...

but you could always do the str8 piping and just put back on stock stuff when u smog

N/A B16 will never be a straight line performer. You will need to run some sort of forced induction to get any useful straightline power....end of story.

youre not gonna get enough power to notice with a straight pipe. maybe if you were running a turbo, but not N/A. it just keep the cat.

I say just GUT ur cat you got now so it looks leagal and if you ever need a cat for emissions test or whatever just buy a replacement or high-flow one. I didnt know this the the Ricer Ricer Rice board who the hell cares about sound s**t i would paint my car pink if it made it faster

why gut a good cat, just then buy a high flow, just buy the highflow and keep the good one for emissions in case for some odd reason you fail.
