streetstyler, pls read

well, most of you kno me, im a honest guy. i recently bought a c/f hood form streetstyler.com (vented style) it looks great and seems to be made sturdy enough and was shipped ok, but after a week of trying to get it to seat properly, it seems to be warped, and will not sit all the way down in the middle, like it is hitting the valve cover, but even a body shop told me it wasnt, so its time to see how good of a sponser streetstyler is, and how far im going to have to go to get a replacement/refund for this, either way i wont be able to take my car this weekend/next week at all, since i wont have a hood, even tho im finally getting my license tomorow.

but then again, they could be getting slack, since that was over a year ago.

You're f**ked. You're not getting a new hood... either that or it's gonna take you a year. They have horrible customer service. I made a thread about them in the past if you wanna see all the s**t they put me through.

i will agree... their customer service sucks and they have piss poor communication. they tell me they will email me on a monday and by wednesday still nothing. took them another 2 days to email me back. but shipping was good and the lip fit very well so i guess i shouldnt b***h too much

i dont see them giving you a refund, sorry buddy, i would guess they are gonna say this is something you should take up with the company that manufactures the hood, streetstyler just buys and sells them, good luck though

If ur stuck with it..

You can put 1-2 washers in between the hinges and the hood to raise it up a bit. Some people do that. You may see it rise a bit towards the top of the hood, but at least it aint gonna rub on the valve cover and shave some of the material off. Or, you can even try to shave off parts of the skeleton on the hood, just enough to clear it.

ordered rear lip, 3 days later, got it, fit perfectly

Customer service? No way. Took five days to ship the lip. Week and a half to get here. Total stupid packing job. Lip was cracked. No response in a week to e mail. Buy from them and you take your chances...
