I bought my EJ instead of a Del Sol based on the sound system set up

i have two 12" subs in da trunk facing up from da floor. here a pic of the first one i had

u can always make your own box like i did.
why not do it like this? who uses that stupid little spare anyhow? if you are travelling outside the city limits, throw that in. otherwise this looks good for me. for now, i have a pretty good pair of 6x9 in the back and a decent pair of 6.5 in the front. all i need now is a good woofer. i am keeping my out for a good deal that matches well with what i have in my pocket.

in a hatch .. if you want yoru subs to be louder.. face them toward the hatch glass.. it will give you like 2-3 dbs.. more then just facing them toward the hatch..

yes, if you read the first page you would have come across this which points that out.

i heard you gain somethin like 3dbs just pointing them towards hatch...that's where my 15s point(they're sooo heavy it's like havin a person ridin in the hatch all the time) i have a carpeted bar i put so it doesn't slide...looks pretty clean too...don't go for the under seat sub thing sounds like a good idea but once you get to kno the structure of the cars it seems more and more an impractical idea.....

and since the backseats padding and such cut down on the sound transmission from the trunk to the cabin (very little), you can just make a port in the rear deck or somewhere the sound has direct access to the cabin of the vehicle. i noticed that mine was louder when i had a rear seat down.

when you face the subs twords the rear the sound reverberates off of the rear and goes twords the front.
the longer the bass has to travel, the wider the sound waves get and therefor your db's will go up.
