I agree, the best video was Eminem + Chrysler. It was the longest clip ever in superbowl commercial history and Eminem was the s**t. I didnt know it was eminem, not even after I heard his song. I thought Eminem was not going to do 2 commercials, but then they showed his face, and bamb! that was shocking. Not to mention the clip had great cinematic effects.

I would rather start out where I am now, with an average life, and become something.....than start out as a f**k-up and become "something" that has just as much bad reputation as he does good reputation.
Of course you would rather start out where you are. He didn't get that opportunity. That's my point exactly.

a rapper is "something" to be proud of in America? that's not exactly the American dream. I would think he would be doing something a little more intellectual

You don't have to be an intellectual to be successful (this is coming from an individual working in military research and studying on the graduate level). An artist can be equally successful. Whether you like his music or not, you can't deny that millions of people enjoy listening to his music and re-living his hardships. People like to experience emotions. Eminem's music allows them to do that in a very powerful way.

i think they chose eminem for various reasons, among, he is from detroit, and he appeals to a younger crowd. Younger crowds are not into Chrysler. Not only that, Eminem also did it because he is coming back intot the scene and expanding his image and name. Especially to the older crowd, which there are many watching the super bowl. I read about this online, hee hee.

^^ Nothing wrong with doing your research. That's exactly why they chose him.

I refused to watch the game, watched the 1/2 time show and wasn't impressed much, and the commercials, for what I saw, sucked.

None of the commercials where as good as other years of the superbowl. I didnt see all of them because i didnt sit down and watch every second of the game kept leaving the room and making cds on the computer, but i liked the new beetle one thought little darth vader was decently funny. Doritio commercial with dude sucking the cheese off the other guys finger was a little funny i guess, but it was more akward and strange than anything to me anyway.
