I am planing to swap trannies this summer and I am wondering what i need to prepare for the swap. I am planing to swap a 93 d-series into a 96 d-series tranny. I know that the tranny will fit but by looking at the wiring, the plugs are different. What else do i need. So far i have:
-->shift link
-->shifter
-->hydrulic clutch cable
-->master cyclinder
-->clutch pedal

give me some pointers :roll:

I havent seen this done very often but this is becoming more popular...I would like to see pictures and would be interested in how much it ended up costing to see if this is actually worth it..I dont have to worry about it because I already have a stick, but it would be cool to know...good luck

I heard different from different ppls. I heard it was a easy if you had all the parts ready. So how did you do yours?

Why not just sell your car and buy the same thing but with a stick? Shouldnt that actually be cheaper?

True man manuals are a lot cheaper than autos here in NYC. You can save up to $2k by selling an auto and buying a stick of the same year.

i knew a guy in high school who converted his 95 d16z6 powered del sol to a stick. Said that even with the cost of registration and s**t it would have been cheaper to sell his car and get a stick.

i dont think it was that hard, its just finding the parts luckly i found them on ebay cheap as s**t so i got them, theres alittle wiring you have to do, but it really aint that bad, far as the car drives it drives like its stock
