i really want a t25 turbo as apossed to a t3/t4. because i am an every day driver. and i really like the low end power plus it would be a first for me to ever install or have a turbo. i was wondering what u all recommend and what your experiences with either one of these turbo's are??? thx for any info. my motor and car is down below. thanks

What are your plans? A t25 on a d-series motor will do everything that that motor is capable of with a stock bottom end, but if you want more than 200-220whp later on get a bigger one. The turbo Im going with (T3 .42/.48) is a little bit bigger than a t25 but still spools fast. It will probly do 240whp maxed out.

It really depends on what you want. If you don't plan on racing and just wanna keep that a*****e from cutting you off, then a t25 would be fine, but I think you would enjoy a t3/t4 better.

t25 for sure for daily driving.

t3/t4 is going to be harder on the axles when you finally get past lag and have a massive surge of torque.

it all depends on what psi ur gonna be runnin at.....if more than 7 get the t3/t4.......t25 is more for the 7psi and under.....its good cause it doesnt have much lag.....the t3/t4 is used for prolly 10 psi or more.....ur choice....i would go for the t3/t4 even if ur gonna run 7 psi....the t3/t4 will prolly run better though...

im not going to be racing that much like an accasional street race every now and then. mosly just more power and to have a little bit more fun. im looking to get like 160hp to 190hp. just so i can beat some cars, sound cool, and i know how bad that t3/t4 will lag and i know that the t25 will end its power at like 5500rpm's. but im not really looking to race just for power that i dont have know. and yes i drive a decent amount every day

The T25 could easily get you to 160 and with more boost to 190, so if thats all your lookin for get a T25.

:kickass: lol, now that is some funny stuff! do you seriously know what your talking about? oh no you better not get a t3/t4, your not boosting 10lbs. dont do it! hahahaha thats funny. How many of you are boosted?!!?

I honestly think you should aim for a little more then 160-190whp, those numbers won't make you really quick as you'd like to be. Getting a T3/T4 frame turbo will open the doors up, you'll have a hella lot more options if you go that route, and just in case you get the urge to turn up the boost, and I know you will you'll have more options available to you. You could also get a small trim t3/t/4 with a lower a/r on the hot side, it'll spool fast enough. Don't associate t3/t4 with turbo lag, there are a hella lot of trim options out there. A t25, will still put down some numbers, you'll have good low end out of the hole, and spool super early, but remember your driving a front wheel drive car, and traction is always the enemy. You won't be able to make nearly as much power as a t3/t4, you'd be a hella lot happier if you got one, trust me.

well then you also have the cost issue. the hybrid costs a lot more than a t25, and t25's are the best imo for a dd. and hell if the boost bug bites you, you can turn that little turbo up to around 15psi. unless your looking for a lot of power, in which you already said 190, then the t25 well get you there.

torque from a turbo spooling wont break axles. shocking the drivetrain by slamming the clutch, launching hard on slicks, or 'power shifting' breaks axles.

If your going to go boost, going cheap is gay. Do it right the first time. A T25 will get you to the power goals that he seeks there is no question about that, and if the boost bug bites, and I'm sure it will, what's the point in turning up the boost for more power if your already out of the efficiency range of the turbo before redline. Get the hybrid, you can run low boost if you want, if you want to turn it up a correctly sizedr turbo will still give you power, instead of ending up ditching the T25 for a T3/T4 later on.
