hm... I'm sort of in the same perdicament that this guy is in with determining a turbo size. I'm actually going to try to size it as much as I can according to the compressor map and my psi and power goals. Mine are somewhere aroud 175-200 whp. That would be with all the tuning done on a p28 obd1 etc... Does anyone know of any size that have alotta compressor maps for different turbos? Also would be looking for in depth explainations and suggestions to turbo sizes. I've read alotta the basic suggestions but want to kinda get more down to the exact whys etc..

i thought it was a d-series???

anyway you should maybe think about a 14b, very under-rated turbo. can hold 18psi all day on a dsm, so i don't see why it wouldn't on a honda. people have gotten into the 12's in hondas with those. spools pretty quik and holds till redline. i have a t25 now. i love the fast spool, but 1st gear isn't really there. i just rip through that, thats without dumping the clutch, thats from a roll. but i can feel it drop off at the top-end

what is the 14B off of? the turbo i'm putting on my civic came from an Evo III, i thought it was a T25, but i'm not sure. and don't forget, the mitsu engine is bigger with another cam etc etc etc, i'm not really a guru when it comes to turbo's, but i think that might have a thing or two to do with it. my personal suggestion is use a T3, you can get one damn near anywhere, a really good one is off of a Z31 (if you don't know, Gen. 1 300ZX) and on a stock block/head with tuning it has made 220 WHP. I agree with chaos, just go inbetween.

for what ur tryin to accomplish a t25 or 14b would be perfect. you could piece a kit together for a fairly small amount of money and pull decent reliable numbers out of them. go to homemadeturbo.com and look around. i was pretty impressed with some of their work.

if you go there do your research first or they'll rip you a new arse-hole, if you ask a question thats been answered many times before.
i'm a member there, thats where i learned how to build my kit. i paid $500 for all the parts
