t3 or t3/t4

thats why i recommended the t28 (if he MUST go with a t series turbo), it would be a much better street turbo

you are correct temp, but the problem is this guy wants numbers. and its not really worth it to build a motor to run a t28, by the time your running enough boost to need forged internals, your pushing the envelope of the compressors efficency index. on a turbo that small, your blowing little more than hot air when a built bottom end becomes necessary. which is why i suggested the gt series- larger housing and compressor, but spooling similar to a t28 (if he sizes it right) . but damn those things cost a grip compared to the t's.

I've looked in to the k3s, but almost all of them I've found have f**ked up flanges that wont work with normal turbo manifolds. I don't want to have to do any work to the turbo to make it work.

so rather then have a nice streetable turbo you want to go with what everyone else has because you want peak power? i would rather have a huge ass mid range and some top end then all top end

Got a good deal on a t3/t4. If I don't like I can sell it and I'm almost guaranteed to make money anyway.

I have some other questions now tho. What would be best to buy for a boost controller? Will a manual one work, I should I spend the money and get a greddy or an apexi?

manuals are fine, just turn the dial, run it and make sure its set at the proper boost level you want. friend of mine made the same manual boost controller and its does 15psi on a toyota celica all trac

good for him, boost spikes will be more common with a manual boost controller
