im gonna pick up nfs s**t today in preparation of forza 3

I wouldn't doubt you could. You could in past games. Like you were able to use microsoft points and flat out buy a teir 3 car and use it from the start.

ive unlocked tier 3, almost got tier 4 unlocked, but i havnt done any races in tier 3 yet

and no you cant use higher tier cars on the lower tier races. but you can use a lower tier on a higher one.
tier 4 unlocked.

no, i just bought my elite, dont really need 250g hd, got 2 headsets, and its the regular version of the game. would be cool to have though, but they should have announced it when the elites dropped in price.
