How's it going everyone, greetings from Miami. Purchased my 2005 Civic LX Coupe in 2007 with 21k miles on it and drove it until 2013 when the transmission gave out at 223k miles. My daily vehicle switched to a 2013 Charger, after seeing it sit in the shop for so long I decided to bring it back to life and get it back in shape. So I spent an entire weekend removing other parts, subwoofers, amps, and other misc stuff and dug it out. I dropped it off at the tranny shop today and should have it back on the road in a few days.

Car will need much TLC so I am doing new carpet and having the seats shampoo'd, then I will be taking it to a shop (If I can find a reputable one in Miami) to clean up under the hood. Once she is nice and clean, I will get it ready for audio and performance. Before it crapped out I had an audio goal of 150+ out of the trunk on 2 12's sooooo first plan is to finish off it's audio build and finally get to my goal of 150's in the trunk.

I will post full logs of everything that happens to the Civic as I do work to it and don't worry, I take lots of pics.

Would like to do a few cosmetic and performance mods to make the car more fun to drive and more appealing to look at so I will be lurking around here for great ideas to do it because 115hp just doesn't cut it for me anymore.

We'll be looking forward to your build thread! Performance wise, unless you swap the motor (I don't think many people boost D17's), you won't get much gain out of basic bolt-ons.

Considering the amount of weight that will be in the car I don't expect much. I did find a place in NY that has a K20 and Auto Transmission from an Ep3 that I might eventually do once I get the audio and cosmetics done. I know there are a few people running boosted D17s and I am not looking to match my charger performance, I just want to make sure with the added weight I can still get the car down the street fast enough.

Thanks man, once I get it back I will hit him up. The tranny shop is in N. Miami so it's not to far from him. My shop is not to far from him either so it would work out awesome.

He does excellent tranny work.. in fact, I got him to buy trans parts from my supplier..

There are boosted D17's out there... just a tad more expensive since it needs a full engine management.

Hopefully he is good with motors as well. It's already gone for tranny work and the mechanic doing the work is a family friend. I will need someone who can clean up the engine bay and make it more appealing since this will be headed to a lot of shows and used as one of my many driving billboards for my shop.

Well for one I need one hell of a tune up lol. Ideally I would like to throw more colored accents under the hood where I can, the Alternator going on is Red all of the power and ground wires are red. I have seen other Civics with lots of colored accents so I am sure he will know what I mean when I explain it. Basically anything black right now I want it Red and the engine bay itself needs to be cleaned in the worst way. Looks like crap right now.

Well buddy.. the days of colored engine bays are over.. Your a little late in the game for that.

Save yourself some $$ and just break out some purple stuff and a pressure washer. A clean bay looks better then one with colors all over. That was circa 2001 fast and furious years.

But, If you want it, then its your ride.

Lol I get what you're saying but I wasn't talking about that colorful haha. I was more so stating I need it to be aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. When any of my cars are at a show we typically leave the hood up to show off our wiring schemes and alt setups so I want to make sure everything else looks clean and nice. I wasn't going to go full retard on the coloring and have the whole thing looking like an extra from F&F. Just something to make it look good and hopefully a few bolt ons that help it perform slightly better until I decide if a swap is really worth it. I own a few other cars now so this will really be a fun project.
