well, for starters... we're in the 11th generation of skylines right now with the v35... yes, that's right... 11th gen... most ppl think the skyline started with the R30 (and some even think the 1st skyline was an R32 )... not true. the first skyline was produced in 1955, powered by a 1.5L 4 cylinder... this first car was known as the Prince Skyline ALSI-1...

read up, it's great info to know... make sure you read up on the first GT-R, built back in the late 60s... if there's one thing i'm big on, it's automotive history... especially hondas... ask me anything about honda history and i'll either tell u or find out... it's an amazing story, imho... especially how our cars (the civic) came about...

dang i didnt know you new that much about honda. when was the first year honda came out in the U.S.? just to test ya. and ya ill check up on the first GT-R.

that's easy, 1959.. that's when honda motor company opened up shop in LA. their first product was an electric "booster" for bicycles.

lol don't just ask me. ask everyone that way everyone can benefit... i'm just a honda history buff.... i used to host honda trivia nights on aim, where'd i'd come up with... well... honda trivia questions for ppl to answer.


example: what was the first production car in the world to have four wheel steering? (yes, it's a honda)

not many ppl would even guess it'd be a honda but it being honda trivia kinda gives that away..

ok, here's an easy one: what's the first production vehicle in the world to obtain FULL SAFETY RATINGS? that is, a perfect score... and yes, it's a honda.

i'm thinking maybe i should come up with a whole set of questions (at least 100) and we should have a honda trivia night again... but anyway, let's get back to skylines...

i was really happy when nissan decided to release the skyline in the US... it's a pleasure seeing v35 skylines cruising around town. and to anyone who says the g35 is not a skyline... IT IS. it doens't have to be a GT-R to be a skyline. in fact, most skylines are NOT gt-r trim.

and it is nice to see what the new skyline looks like. the g35 is a very sexy car. but i actaully prefer the 350Z over it.

it's a good idea, but last time i tried it everyone got stuck on one question and i had to answer it myself.... and when i posted the next question, nobody could answer. it was an easy one too, regarding the 1924 curtiss special, the first "car" that soichiro honda built. basically a mitchell chassis with a curtiss engine (it was an airplane/helicopter engine)... here is a photo i snatched from TOV

if i did that, people would cheat. the point of trivia is to be the fastest one to produce an answer.... just like in a 'knowledge bowl' competition
