That's funny s**t. So how did you get the car up and over the engine after dropping it? I'm asking because I don't have a hoist, and if I can get it jacked up high enough I can do what you did and just slide the engine out.

Oh BTW, did you drop the tranny before? I don't remember because I didn't save the clip.

tranny came out with the engine, its easy to take the two 17mm bolts out of the trailing arm on the passenger side this will allow you to move it out of the way when you lower the engine, and take the intake mani, altenator ac compressor and mounting bracket (if you have ac) off it makes it really easy to get it out. we used floor jack, jack stands and a couple 4x4s stacked on top of the jack to get the car high enough...

Sounds like a plan. I just found out today that I can put my car up on two jack stands in the front and just literally pick up the back of the car and set the rear wheels on some ramps. This is because the weight of the engine is in front of the stands and basically teeter-totters. I got under it on a creeper and grabbed the tie bar and benched my CRX. I just think it's funny, I want to get it on tape.

i have video of me and a buddy lifting the front end of a crx off the jack (no motor)....

make sure you put the jack stands in the right place, look in the book or one of those links!!!!!!

I have often wanted to get two d15 blocks and use them for end tables. I would then have honda end tables....clean em all up and make them shiney. I could actually start an motor art buisness like that wingnut thing on tv where they take old airplane parts and make functional art out of it. It would be cool to make a coffe table out of blown motors. Think of the convosations that would start around blocks with big holes in 'em.

I also had that idea. I want to take my old block when I retire it and lay a piece of glass on it. It's one othe thing the old D block is good for.

s**t minus well kept that motor in there, just to put another d series rite back in, boosted or not, you could make so much more power with a b series... not ragging on d series, but with the money to boost, why not b series it?
hm, already have a d how much to swap a b 2k-3k and then to boost doesnt make sense to me and what happens if we blow a b another 900-1200 if we blow the d not only are whole motors cheap but internals are too

i have d16z6 si zc hybrid tranny and i ran a 15.23 @ 91 mph, the mph is good for high 14's and my motor only cost $125 and $80 for zc gears can i spend $205 on a b series swap and dip into 14's?

its not what you got its how you use it....
