ANyways I sealed the car in the booth. Keep in mind I took off the doors so there woud be no obstruction with the spraying pattern of my paint gun. When the sealer dried for at least 2-3 hrs I put them back on and took her home.

I was told that one of the most important parts about prepping the car is the wet sanding, so make sure you take your time. EVen I got eager on spraying, but I can definately vouch for the fact that 90% of the work is prep work. I didnt get to seal the hood because it wasnt ready yet. It needed body work, so Ill save it for last. Enjoy sealer pics..

I had to stay on schedule, and painting can be an exciting thing, since that is the most anticipated part out of the whole process. But I had to be ready because there were other people waiting to use the booth.

I prepared all my stuff thenigh before and went to class the next day (i had class on Saturdays) came to class and prepped my car. cleaned it off by using soap & water, then I taped off any remaining peices and covered up my windows and door ways and my rear hatch opening first thing when I got there.

I used a tack rag to finish it off the cleaning after I parked my car in the paint booth/ I got a lot of assistance from my instructor and he helped me set up my paint gun right. because Im not a pro at it.

First thing that went on was paint. You can see how dull it looked but thats ok. the objective was to get it white. The clear coat makes everything look nice.

I also took off my doors and fenders and sprayed those as well. Take a look...

The work station....

I got my first layer of clearcoat on my door. Dont worry, it gets better from here...

My friend that coached me on spraying. I put this picture on here for the purpose of showing you what the average spraying distance should be (about 6 inches from the panel)

after that, its more and more layers of clear coat.

I learneed that you dont have to pile it on the panel at once. Thats what causes blobs of clearcoat/or paint to drip down.

The key step is to spray the panels a few times. If you dont get enough, then just to another pass. JUST DONT GO TOO HEAVY AT ONCE TIME

Heres more pictures as I put more layers of clear coat. Whatch as the car gets more glossy every time I do another pass.

I used Toyota Super white paint by the way.

only thing i see you did wrong is not mask off everything, you got paint on the dash, door striker, and muffler and all that, over spray is a b***h
