before this becomes a flamed thread just so everyone knows i searched and read other threads but this isnt similiar to other peoples questions first off i bought NGK Ix Iridiums:

thats them, anyway as i was looking through my PDF version of the honda manual i noticed it said

NOTE: use only the spark plugs listed below

B16a2- PFR6L - 13 (NGK)
PK20PR-L13(DENSO)

now on the box these iridiums say "BKR6EIX-11" they came from autozone btw, does this mean my plugs i bought are incorrect or is it just because they are iridium and the ones it is telling me to use are copper NGK's

and also for plug wires can i use duralast or should i buy ones from honda? i gotta admit i hate going to my local honda dealership this guy in the parts section is a real sarcastic ass so the less i have to go to the parts section the better.

First of all stop going to Vato Zone... The people their don't know s**t in "most" cases... The parts are less than par...

NGK plugs are great and sticking with stock is fine... Going a bit above won't hurt but also won't yield much if any results... Nothing you would notice on a daily basis...

Go to Car Quest or Napa for Spark Wires... Even Advanced Auto.....

OR you could order from http://www.providencehondaservice.com/order-parts.aspx which they have lower prices than the dealers usually and its online =)

idk i went to carquest today was pretty disapointed all the parts looked used or severly old, and they were ALOT more expensive than autozone i spent 6.99 at autozone for those NGK iridium plugs and they wanted 9$ at carquestl lol i didnt go to nappa tho anyone else have suggestions on where to buy parts?

also the thermostat i bought was made by duralast but at carquest its made by stent? stant? something like that never even heard of them

i dont mean to thread jack but i need a new battery and dont wanna pay the 80+ at autozone or advanced. I seen that theirs a car quest like 10 minutes from me and on their website their advertising 40 or 50 for a battery. My question is has anyone dealt wiht their battery since its an in house product.

Call them for a battery for your car... That is usually the starting at xx.xx price.... Yes they are great products all batteries are made by I think only 2 companies so they are all the same

I get all my stuff at autozone, and everything runs fine? well i bounce around some, but under your hood i believe, it give the exact spark plugs. GET THEM. hondas can be very picky with spark plugs. You should be fine though, i have the same plugs. if autozone was really that bad they wouldnt be open everywhere

NGK is sold most places and you will be fine.....

I have had nothing but problems with Vato Zone... Sure they can be useful now and then but I have had brake pads explode twice... or Shatter for a lack of better words... I have had a set of Duralast *AKA DONT LAST* Plug Wires that the boot and connector fell straight off a new set of plug wires.... I could go on and on for days about the issues I had... I did work at Pep Boys for a second job and we used to have people come over ALL the time pissed about the Auto Zone Next door.... Because they sold them the wrong part, the part was damaged when they got it, this that and another...

Do what works, everyone is going to have a different experience... For the most part I have had nothing but bad problems with them....

Although ONE time I couldn't get a T-body gasket from ANYONE but them, not even the dealer had it... But they did for a 95 Accord. LOL

well the managers of the stores could have something to do with that, kinda like some restaurants and fast food places. some are better than others. it also helps to double check everything and to go in knowing exactly what you want. make sure your getting what you ask for

1st off... this is the tech section so no one should be flaming...

2nd... autozone is fine as long as you yourself know what to get.

I don't know why you need NGK irridiums's... the cheap spark plugs will work fine even if you were boosted. As for your wires... I would go with some NGK blues if you want NGK or just plain ole cheap ones from autozone.

- anyone know the best place to order NGK wires? the NGK site says like 50$ per piece?

Keep your spark plugs, not all autozones are bad. OR figure out exactly the part you need and go get them.

lol in most cases i would but it turns out they are the same price at autozone and at advanced autow.e but on the site they give a 15% discount on all items and free shipping for purchases over 75$ so if i return everything to autozone and just rebuy it from advanced autoparts ill get a nice discount have more money in my pocket and free shipping OR pick it up at the store if i want

my personal experience with iridiums a turbo set up... lasted about 4mo. Threw on some $1.50 auto value's and it lasted YEARS!!!!

but it all comes down to personal preference and what is cool. The NGK's aren't all that expensive so just get those... everyone seems to like them...
