Except you butchered the riddle. You said "he left on Friday night". You're just supposed to say "he left on Friday".
It could go either way. He rode in on Friday night, stayed two nights, but still left on Friday.

or

He rode in on Friday, stayed two nights, and left for home on Friday.

Saaaaaaaame s***.

EDIT: And I did not say "he left on Friday night."

whats the difference between jam and jelly???

Umm I hate to be a stickler....but no it can't go both ways. Look at how you phrased it.

When you say "He rode in on Friday night" you are implying that Friday is an actual day, because the word "night" describes the word "Friday". If Friday is the horse, you then described the horse with the word "night". Take out the horse, which is an unnecessary part of the sentence, and you are saying "He rode in night". That also makes no sense. The point of the riddle is that when you say "He rode in on Friday" the reader ASSUMES that "Friday" is a day, and not a noun. When you use the word "night", you are taking out the assumption, and guaranteeing that "Friday" is in fact a day, because you are DESCRIBING "Friday" with a time of day.

If you dug a hole through the center of the earth, and jumped in, would you stay at the center because of gravity?

No youd be ripped to shreds.
Staying at the center would imply large amounts of mass surrounding you and so gravity would be pulling you in every direction. May not be 9.8 m/s at the center but it would still pull you that way.

I'm pretty sure the core of the earth would kill you before you even arrived at the center.

How do you get a hard-boiled egg into a bottle without breaking it apart?
light a match, put it in the bottle and put the egg on the opening and wait...the match will burn up all the oxygen thus creating a vaccum and sucking the egg in without breaking it.
