well i dont close the door by holding the door handle... i lock it from the inside then close the door with my elbow..so its my elbow getting shocked not my hand.. and its hurts

my car does the same thing. It's just the dry winter air. I've just gotten used to it.

When that happens to my I just use my foot to close it since i'm wearing shoes and it has a rubber sole it does affect me, so I just avoid that problem.
