I'm not the clown that considers his car JDM.

You have a long ways to go. If you need pointers on de-ricing it let us know "bro".
when did i consider my car JDM? all i did was label it as JDM build....i never said "oh, here's my super cool EK9 type r thats JDM 2 DA MAX"

and i need to de rice it why???? because I actually have motor work done to my car??? because my bottem end can handle 400 whp safely??? or is it because i'm like 90% of all the people here, and have knock off lip kit?

if so....then please get me some de-ricing tips. I obviously need them very bad:roll:

WHOO!!! finally, the car is alive again. started it up for the first time today, and it started right up and its runnin really good. definitly needs a tune though, i set the timing a little more retarded than before, so i'm gonna maybe advance it a little tomorrow. but hopefully this weekend, i can get to installing the interior

ah, boost feels good again:cool:

i want a ride.

p.s. your car is totally jdm, it's got an asian driver! who else can say that?

i can't believe how many people here just hate hate hate. good god.

but then again if there isn't haters, you don't have anything to be proud of.

defintely let me know when she's up and running tuned, i'd like a ride or possibly drive b/c of previous hookups. hahha. I can still inspect it if need be bro.

oh, and sorry I couldn't help out with the wiring, I got stuck there without my hatch. :(

Don't let it get to you bro, there's no need to argue with them. There will forever and a day be a debate about knock-off parts being JDM or not. Personally, I'm tired of the whole use of the word "JDM" anyway. It's merely a style, not so much the parts to me. I buy genuine parts when I HAVE to (i.e.- The massive dough I dropped for the EK9 momo wheel; they don't make an after-market replica of this part, so I had no choice).

But, with your door panels, you did a DIY job, and they look GREAT! And hey, you saved $300 by not getting the genuine ones. Plus, your fabric actually looks red, and not all dingy and beat up, as a used piece might. But, must importantly, you can spend that saved $300 bucks towards parts that will actually make you faster. Or towards a years worth of autocross entry fees, where you can actually run your car and learn to drive better.

People take 3 years to build a car, saving forever for these genuine parts, when they could have it built within a year, at a fraction of the cost, with knock offs and good DIY jobs, and driving it around, enjoying it.

But, to each his own. Just my 2 cents. Your car looks good man. Keep it up, and do YOUR thing.

Anyways, how is the y7 with the turbo setup you have? im guessing you are running off the pre-set 6 psi wastegate? You shouldn't run knock off turbo parts ("ssqv" bov)

the y7 loves boost, haha. i turboed it at 110k miles i put over 30,000 miles on it, after 20,000 i cracked a valve (bad injector) and then at 30,000 i cracked a ring. tuning could've been better. at first it was at 11psi, spiked at 13 and made 201 whp. the car was havin problems with that (cuz it's still obd2) so i bumped it back down to 8 psi at a good 170 whp.

i'm not too worried about the knock off bov, i mean, if it fails, it'll be obvious, and wont cause any real damage. now if i was using a knockoff wastegate or something, and it fails...bye to the motor. the bov does what it should, haven't had any problems yet

drove the car home from my friends garage last night and now its at its home again

in the garage

wait....wheres my intake mani?

oh there its is.......and a z6 intake mani

and for all of you who think i have no jdm parts;)

i have to get some sensors for the z6 before i can install it. i'm puttin in my walbro fuel pump tomorrow or this weekend. i have a motorola 2.5 bar map sensor, but i don' t know if i want to install that yet cuz i'm not gonna run more than 14 psi until i upgrade my turbo. i may get workin on the interior and then order some parts. :D

I consider a bunch of knock off JDM parts rice.
This makes me lol, especially considering how easy it would be to pick apart your car in similar fashion. From the guage pillar pod without boost to the mr7's.. Dont s**t on his car, especially considering it would probably run circles around your em2 ;)

Keep up the good work teinr  Btw, what mani is that? hf? If so, ive never seen an hf that was able to retain ac..
