The exhuast note was one of the things that sold me on the Z. Also looked at the 6.0l GTO but didn't like it at all. Much happier with the Z and proud to be a Z owner.

Nice trade. EVO looks so much like a 4-door tuner car, instead of more focused sports car.

Oh yeah, and the exhaust note on the Z is awesome.

why should he have kept the evo ? warrenty wasnt goin to keep payin for the breakdowns it was havin...

I think people probably arent reading the whole thread and are just chiming in with "shouldnt have sold teh evo".

Sad to see the evo go, but Z's are fun cars! Buddy has a silver 03 track...yea we run'em =)

I've driven both and seriously prefer the Z anyday. In fact we had a Torch Red Mustang GT (2005 I think) on our lot along with a new silver Evo. I drove both and didn't really like the Evo. It still felt something like an entry level sedan with mods. Plus I actually didn't like the power.. not how it was at least. With the Mustang there was power there when you wanted it but with the Evo it was there all the time whether you wanted it there or not... Doesn't exactly sound right but I'm having a hard time explaining it in words I guess. I'm also not the kind of person who has to be the fastest out there. I personally would rather have the GT over the Evo even. It was fun to drive. =)

I prefer the way it feels driving the Z too though. Leaned back some, it feels like a sport car inside. Not upright with clear windows all around you. The Z seems to have almost identical blind spots to the ~2001 Celicas I've noticed too. I like the way you sit in them too. I feel like i sit too high up in the Evo.

Here's one of my favorite 350Zs I've seen in person. This was at NOPI in Maple Grove July 31, 2004.




Good luck with the 350. It's a good thing you got rid of the Evo while it was still worth anything.

Perrin antenna/ Project Mu pads/ Rockford Fosgate amp & sub/ RS*R cat-back/ Seibon CF hood/ Tein H-Tech/ TurboXS intake/ Quaife Limited Slip Diff.
Got rid of it cause it kept breaking and having too many problems

man im sorry to hear you got rid of the evo...their def one of my favorite cars....i dislike the 350z due to its blind spots...its like driving a semi.

That was his mod list. You have to read further into the thread. You missed his real problems with the Evo and Mitsubishi:

This kid around town has an Evo X and the clutch was replaced at 10k miles, so yeah, they def. have a problem.

Love the 350. Im gettin really heavy into nissans because of the people i hang out with. Im the only kid with a honda and everyone else has either sentras, 240s, 300s, or 350s. Theres a shop i hang out at all the time called Pitstop and they specialize in z's. Owner has the sexiest 300 ive ever seen. :drool: Keep them mods comin!
