hey f**k your couch asshat.

Im not telling him how to build the fastest civic, and atleast i give correct information. Handles knows what im talking about, because he told you to shut your mouth because you give WRONG information.

Im suggesting a CHEAPER (which youll say is a bad way to "tune"... which you negate by your next statement)

Im giving my e-pinion, which is based off of a lot of reading, and listening to other people's opinions. Im not being an e-mechanic in any sense, just using logic.

b18b + turbo + dyno tune = same price as b18c5

vtec with turbo = diminishing returns... much more useful na. with the correct cam, its a moot point.

so really dont be labeling me or trying to start s**t, especially when you have absolutely no room to talk.
when did i ever say a cheaper way to tune is bad???? <--thats a label you've given me
and you say your opinion is based on other peoples opnions??? try using logic or common sense. I actually am a mechanic, but on CC you can't really teach anyone anything. Even if you have proof, its labeled as "a fluke" or rare case. I'm not tryin' to start anything......its seems as if everyone wants the black guy to start somethin' though....

Actually you can teach people things on here. I've learned things and I'm sure you've learned things you just have to sift through all the people who hate everyone who doesn't share their opinion

you guys all give false info so shut the f**k up...you all hear that 9:1 is ideal compression for turbo and that anything higher will not suffice, well your pretty much completely wrong..and heres proof to back it up...

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1027496

11.5:1 compression with ratio with individual throttle bodies..."But lanojp1, ITBs are made for N/A only"...well eat your words because this thread proves all of you wrong...

heres my solution...SEARCH

try not to use the word ALL because i do take offense to it. I know you can boost all kinds of set-ups with various CR's....you just need to know what to sacrifice and what to tune for. Thats why i was complaining about how they throw out their info. If they are gonna teach, they need to give out all possible scenarios instead of what they preffer to do

yeah i didnt say anything about compression either, so die kthxbye ;) jp

ITB's are a pain in the ass to tune with a turbo, and the average person doesn't have the knowledge or tools to create ITBs.

Plus, ITB's aren't the best for high hp applications. A single larger plenum has already been proven to be more efficient. (Hence why the skyline with ITB's that push 1000+ hp upgrade to a single large plenum)

And no one said that high CR won't work.. its just harder to tune and causes more stress on internals (also yields more hp per psi though... its a trade off). Hell turbo diesels are 24 cr and are pushing 30 psi... apples to oranges there tho.

btw... "pretty much completely" is a false negative

being boosted is fun, especially when your car is a sleeper. surprising people next to you when driving is addictive.

it is all in the tune. a friend of one of my friends has a 01 ITR-t and he's throwing down 422hp stock internals and his best run to date was a 12.7 on street tires (high altitude of course). just gotta find a trustworthy and proven tunner to tune ur fuel mngmt. good parts will also help in the long run

Go turbo, if you dont want to upgrade internals, stay low boost (5-7psi, at least on a b16). anything over that, if you want reliability, i would get some stronger internals.

I say go back to stock. That will clear up any confusion about what your engine really has.
