auto to manual convo is only about $1000 including parts and labor
true. parts alone will be about $800 for a low milage tranny. there are a s**t load of misc. crap. i just cnverted mine a month ago. i did most of the actual install myself and got stuck on what to do with the ecu. to do it right you needa throw in a manual ECU...which will need to be reflashed by honda so your key will work (immoblilizer). $1000 is a good ball park figure. now..if you get someone to install for you...$500 - $800 of labor. its sooo labor intensive.
now back to topic at hand. FI! since no one makes a supercharger kitt for 01+, and no one ever will, turbo is the only way to go. i know guys who run 200+ HP on stock auto tranny...but they have tranny cooler and JMO torque converter. which are crucial.
companies: Stafford Fabrications (kinda sketchy at times), Turbo Discounters, Maxrev, Dezod is coming out with one as someone mentioned, and i heard cybernations is coming out with a turbo kit for us with the Guardian Fuel system

. And then, there's custom turbo-ing, which is the route i'd recommend.
